Hello you! I’m so thrilled that you’re here!

A little about me: I’m a reader, writer, music lover, and believer in joyful living. Raised in the South and now thriving in Los Angeles, I’m drawn to stories that conjure up something deep within us. With a B.A. in Political Science and English Literature, I aim to bring my own perspective to the book reviews and reading lists that I share with you.

Around here, I’m reading for my own joy and curiosity, not for social media algorithms, trends, or bookish community approval. I know, it’s all very early 2000s of me. I miss when the internet felt a little more personal, when we could have our own tastes and opinions without everything needing to be a consensus.

I’m also attempting to read more deeply. Writing thoughtful and sometimes slightly academic reviews helps me slow down, think critically about what I’ve read, and hopefully retain more of it. This is as much a place for me to work through my own thoughts and ideas as it is a place to share them with you.
